Meet the Doctors:
Steffen A. Kaplan is a social media and visual consultant with two decades of experience as a supervising photo editor at The New York Times. Today, he leads his own brand “Spin It Social” and is a social media consultant/strategist for AARP’s Life Reimagined platform and its executive leadership and thought leaders. Steffen blends his passion for photography with his love for networking & creating great content and can be found on Twitter and Instagram at @SKaplanphotos. He has been a “Social Media Doctor” at Princeton University, and will also be on hand at Social Media Weekend at CUNY’s J School this June hosted by The Met’s Chief Digital Officer, Sree Sreenivassan.
Liz Borod Wright Most recently the Social Media Editor at NBC 4 New York, Liz Borod Wright became an early adopter of social media because she had to drive traffic to Travelogged.com, a travel blog she launched in 2009. Her passion for social media has led to teaching assignments at Columbia Journalism School and NYU SPS, as well as consulting gigs at Austria Tourist Office, Perrier Jouet, Carnegie Corporation. She’s also a programming coordinator for Social Media Weekend at CUNY Journalism School. She loves to show off New York City’s beauty as a #BBCLocalite for BBC Travel’s Instagram and Twitter feeds.
