Rajesh Tripathi is a National Leader for the India Business Group of Grant Thornton LLP in McLean, Virginia.
Rajesh brings more than 15 years of international tax experience. As a National Leader for India Business Group, he advises U.S. and Indian multinational companies on various cross border tax, transfer pricing and tax treaty issues. He also advises U.S. multinationals and foreign public and privately held companies with U.S. operations on international tax issues such as subpart F income, foreign tax credits, as well as day-to-day international outbound/inbound tax issues, cross-border transactions, and tax treaty issues.
Rajesh has also worked closely with clients in Mauritius and India with primary focus on U.S. Inbound tax issues, Tax Treaty analysis, FATCA, FBAR filing and PFIC analysis. He has worked in several countries and is very familiar with cross cultural issues, as well as building strong cross functional relationships.
Rajesh has worked with clients across various industries, including financial services, private equity, IT and energy sectors.
Rajesh earned an LL.M. in international and comparative law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, an LL.B from the University of Bombay-Government Law College and a bachelor’s degree in commerce and accounting from University of Mumbai.
